A brief history of the Chapel
A Methodist Society was formed in Wrangle in 1769, although the first chapel was not built until 1804. The present chapel opened in 1843. In 1999 Wrangle Methodist Church united with Old Leake Methodist Church; the Methodist Church at Wrangle was retained for the united congregation, but under the title of 'Old Leake with Wrangle Methodist Church'.

The building was refurbished, redecorated and modernized in 2007 providing wheelchair access, chairs instead of pews, a modern kitchen capable of meals for 30-40,
